Special thanks to Cutter P. for sharing his experiences and adventures of Missouri.
The capital of Missouri is Jefferson City. The capitol building is rich in history and a perfect place for art enthusiast. It contains one room full of Thomas Hart murals. The Governor’s Mansion is surrounded with beautiful landscaping and a large garden with lots of flowers. Each of the House of Representatives and Senate members have an office. There is a balcony for guest to sit in while the office is in session. It’s pretty neat that you can watch as a bill is voted on. Outside the capitol are some terrific statues. The view of Jefferson City from the capitol is magnificent. It overlooks the Missouri River. Located next to Jefferson City’s main airport is a memorial airport. Stop by for a chance to see a Boeing 727, McDonnell Douglas MD-90, and other jet airliners.
