Mango’s Outdoor Volleyball, located off of Sherwood Forrest in Baton Rouge, boast a great family friendly environment. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, Mangos has a league just for you. There are 12 sand courts, extended parking, hot cooked food, tasty cold beverages, and even a hose to wash off with after the game. Even if you don’t feel like playing volleyball, come out and enjoy a beverage of your choice at the bar, covered cabana, or on the outdoor patio. Don’t get me wrong, Uncle Joe didn’t put this place together, its top notch in my book. Even if you don’t like volleyball, with an excellent atmosphere and awesome bartenders, this place is perfect for breaking up the rough work week. Games occur Monday through Friday during the spring, summer, and fall coed leagues. Mango’s is a host for the LSU Women’s Volleyball Team. Laguna Beach Volleyball, located on Highway 190 in Denham Springs, also offers outdoor volleyball. Laguna Beach Volleyball Complex offers six sand courts, outfitted with innovative drainage for playing even after torrential Louisiana rains. Laguna is the place for all die-hard athletes as well as the recreational & beginner players. They offer a variety of leagues for all age groups. Private lessons are also offered for individuals or small groups. The complex boasts a covered cabana with a sport’s bar and grill (Ohana Grill). It’s great for watching the action on the courts, enjoying LSU games on the screens, or kicking it up to live music & karaoke. Laguna can host a company party, crawfish boil, or other special events.
