Parades can be a blast for the whole family, especially little kids. They get a chance to hang out before the parade comes then scream at the top of their lungs “Throw me something Mr.” Typically thrown is beads, cups, Frisbees, and other toys. Depending on the parade and location, you may even get cabbage or lingerie.
Mardi Gras is one of the biggest festivals throughout Louisiana. It brings in thousands of visitors from all over the world. There will be parades starting about 2 weeks before Fat Tuesday. There are several different traditions during this time with each city putting their own spin on things.
