Silver Falls State Parks is our favorite place to go hiking and see waterfalls.
This is one of the best places to see 10 waterfalls in one day.
Silver Falls State Park is amazing. There is year round camping. There are group camp sites including Howard Creek Horse Camp and North Falls Day-Use and Group Camp.
The Howard Creek Horse Camp includes 5 primitive camp sites for up to 8 people and 4 horses and another group site for 24 people and 12 horses. The North Falls area has 2 group areas for up to 50 people. There are picnic tables, outdoor fire pits, and nearby flush restrooms. Also nearby is the North Falls Meeting Hall and RV dump station.
Would you rather sleep in a cabin?
There are 14 cabins that are furnished with beds to house 4-6 campers. Each cabin has heating, lights, table for 4 chairs, picnic table, and outdoor fire ring. Up to 2 pets are allowed in the PET FRIENDLY cabins for an additional fee.
This park also offered a lodge and conference center that is tucked away ~1.5 miles off the main road. It is privately run and offers deluxe cabins and buildings for weddings, retreats, meetings, reunions, etc.
Trust us on this, book your stay in advance!! The rates are unbelievable low and the accommodations worth the price. This is a great park. The trails are well maintained and the hike is extremely peaceful. Be sure to pack for wet weather. That’s a must when visiting waterfalls or hiking in this region of the United States.
