Branson, located in south Missouri, brings in thousands of tourists every year. There are fun activities for every member of the family.
While there, be sure to reserve a spot at the Dixie Stampede. The Dixie Stampede, owned by Dolly Parton, puts on an awesome performance and dinner. You literally eat with your hands. That’s right, no silverware! Arrive early for a chance to get a boot shaped cup (for free) as a souvenir.
While in the area, visit Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar City is one of the top theme parks in the state of Missouri. The park opened in May of 1960 and is located between Branson and Table Rock Lake. The park is an 1880s-themed experience for a family friendly vacation destination with down-home charm. Silver Dollar City’s operating season runs from mid-March until late December, with the park closed during the months of January and February.
Be sure to bring a bathing suit or swim trunks and experience the Silver Dollar City’s White Water Park. There is a lazy river for the people who like to float and relax. For the more adventurous, try the drop slide where its a 75 foot free fall at over 40 mph! There are tubing rides for one person or a group. There is even a splash pad for the kids and a wave pool.
Looking for a more romantic event? Try the Showboat Branson Bell where you get an all-inclusive meal, show, and showboat cruise.
Are you looking to spend the night camping or in a cabin? Stay at the Silver Dollar City Wilderness where the family can rest from the fun filled day.
For some more outdoor fun visit the Branson Mountain Adventure Park. Here you can ride a mountain coaster downhill while taking in the wonderful scenery.
